During an interview with inthemix Diplo revealed he collaborated with SOPHIE on the new Madonna/Nicki Minaj track.
When asked if Diplo worked with SOPHIE, he replied…
Me and SOPHIE we did a bunch of stuff together.
We’re going to be releasing it, yeah. I did a record that was literally SOPHIE and Madonna and Nicki Minaj.
SOPHIE is an electronic music producer based in London.
His style has been described by New York-based music publication The fader as “K-Pop, J-Pop, Eurodance at its most chaotic, and even turn of the millennium American/UK boybandisms.
He often incorporates high, pitch-shifted vocals. Instead of sampling, he builds the instrumentals from waveforms, likening the construction of a track to building a sculpture out of different materials.
