“Madame ❌ was born when Madame ❌ broke the rules” was a statement made by Madonna during the promotion of her latest album Madame X, but it looks like Madonna does not appreciate her fans doing the same thing.
Madonna has banned the usage of mobile phones during her Madame X tour so the audience can fully enjoy each performance.
When some fans broke the rules by sneaking in their phones, Madonna wrote the following on Instagram…
3 shows into Madame ❌ and Ive enjoyed every minute of this intimate experience! I ♥️ Looking into the audience and not seeing Iphone’s and cameras flashing but instead-eyes, smiles and happy human faces. However I am mystified and confused by some people who insist on sneaking in second cameras and disregarding my request to not record the show. This request is common at all Broadway shows, dance concerts, stand up Comedy and the Opera. People who ignore my request are not allowing themselves to enjoy The show completely but also show a lack of respect and consideration for my wishes. If you can’t live without your phone for 2 hours-this Experience is not for you. 💃🏻💯♥️❌👠. #liveinthemoment #bam #madamex
Not everybody agrees with that statement and some fans are calling out Madonna…
Like when she spent the entire time on her phone during Jean Paul Gaultier’s Freak Show. Stop being a yes-man, woman!
You always break the rules, why would your fans have to?
I love you @madonna but it’s well known that you are one of the first offenders in this regard. You texted throughout the entirety of “Hamilton,” so much so that Lin-Manuel Miranda felt compelled to comment. So please, a little mercy for your fans for you are a sinner as well.
Mmmm, well, while you are asking the world to allow you to do what you want, why are you forbidding your fans to do what they want to do, record the best moment of their lives living the experience of Madame X’s work?
What do you think?
