Over on the US Digital Songs chart, Madonna’s “Give Me All Your Luvin'” rises 7-6 with 165,000 (up 44%) in its first full week of availablility.
Madonna gig in Hyde Park at risk?
Gigs set for this summer in Hyde Park, London are reportedly at risk because of complaints by local residents.
The London Evening Standard writes that Mayfair residents have complained about the noise from the regular shows which take place in the public park every summer. Madonna will play the park on July 11 and Bruce Springsteen on July 14.
The acts most at risk of being pulled are dance acts who play repetitive beats. A report says last summer 109 complaints about the noise were made, which was double the number from 2010.
Meanwhile, Mayor of London Boris Johnson said…
“I want to see Madonna in Hyde Park and so does everybody else, I hope a good solution will be reached this week.”
Anthony Souza: Madonna is an Inspiration
Anthony Souza worked as a professional photographer shooting on-set stills for feature films and documentaries.
He was hired to shoot stills for W.E., and got to know Madonna, whom he says to wwd, was an inspiration…
“She sees her work as an extension of herself, and she demands that you do your best.”
Madonna later heard Anthony and his brother Sean, were DJing at a private party hosted by Valentino, and quickly booked them for her event at the Ziegfield premiere of W.E., last month.
