France’s far-right Front National party calls Madonna “Granny Gaga”

Update: More attacks from the FN towards Madonna

Front National’s honorary chairman Jean-Marie Le Pen, Marine Le Pen’s father, has called Madonna “old” in his latest weekly video. French singers Yannick Noah and Patrick Bruel, who are respectively black and jewish, have also been targetted saying that “next time, they’ll all make a perfect batch ready for baking”. For many, his words are a direct reference to the crematoria ovens in which Jews were burnt during World War II.

Jean-Marie Le Pen advocates the death penalty, euroscepticism and strongly opposes same-sex marriage and abortion.

The original video has already been made private and only a small snippet is available for those who understand French…

The extreme nationalist party which is hostile or sceptical about the European Union, won the election with a projected 25% of the vote, while the governing socialists of President François Hollande collapsed to 14%.

A few days ago, Madonna criticized France’s far-right Front National party on her Instagram account, asking her followers to fight fascism.

She wrote…

Russia. Ukraine. Venezuela ………., now France?!!!!! #fight Fascism #fightdiscrimination #fightlynchmobmentality #fighthatred #fightdorffreedom #revolutionoflove

Today, Florian Philippot, FN’s vice-president, took to Twitter to insinuate that like her career, Madonna doesn’t know anything about politics…

In politics too, Granny Gaga has no clue…

It’s not the first time Madonna took a jab at the FN.
During her MDNA Tour she depicted France’s Front National leader Marine Le Pen with a swastika across her forehead during the “Nobody Knows me” backdrop…
